The Future of Food - Advisory Committee Meeting

The Hall

The Future of Food program is holding an Advisory Committee meeting from 4 to 6 March 2025. The Advisory Committee members will contribute their expertise to develop strategies that integrate biodiversity as a key driver of transformation.

About

Global food systems are at a crossroads, where ecological collapse, social inequality, and economic instability intersect—demanding bold and transformative action. As power imbalances continue to exacerbate these challenges, food systems also present an extraordinary opportunity to drive systemic change. By prioritizing equity, biodiversity, and resilience, they can serve as powerful catalysts for a just and sustainable future.

The Advisory Committee Meeting on The Future of Food: Power and Biodiversity, convened by Program Chair José Luis Chicoma, will bring together a distinguished group of experts, including representatives from UN agencies, international NGOs, thought leaders, and communicators. This meeting, hosted by THE NEW INSTITUTE, will serve as a dynamic platform to challenge entrenched assumptions, exchange transformative insights, and explore strategies for reshaping food policies and practices.
