Barbara Sheldon
HEAD OF RESEARCH SUPPORT AND ACADEMIC COORDINATION
Barbara Sheldon holds a Ph.D. in American studies and has a long experience working in international research management. She was a fundraiser with the German Academic Exchange Service and then ran the executive board’s office at the University of Heidelberg. Moving on to the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, she was in charge of strategic planning and of a fellowship programme for at-risk researchers. At THE NEW INSTITUTE, she is responsible for supporting the fellows in their work so that „insight“ may turn into „action“.
