"Rarely has it been so clear: humanity and its planet need change. For peace and freedom. For the environment and the climate. For equal opportunity and social justice," says Uwe Jean Heuser, chairman of the jury for the Helmut-Schmidt-Zukunftspreis. For this reason, three partners - DIE ZEIT, the Bundeskanzler-Helmut-Schmidt-Stiftung and THE NEW INSTITUTE - have created the Helmut-Schmidt-Zukunftspreis, which is awarded annually to an international personality for their innovative achievements in the fields of democracy, society and technology.
We cordially invite you to celebrate the presentation of the Helmut-Schmidt-Zukunftspreis 2024 with us on May 15 at the Thalia Theater in Hamburg. Join us as we look to the future together and learn about the award winner and their work. You can also look forward to the ideas of young designers of the future, which they will develop at the Helmut-Schmidt-Zukunftsfestival at Leuphana University from May 13 to 15, 2024, and will present at the Thalia Theater on the evening of the award ceremony.
The winner will be selected by an international jury: Alexander Birken, Antje Boetius, Francesca Bria, Uwe Jean Heuser, Sanna Marin, Alaa Murabit, Vanessa Nakate, Erck Rickmers and Meik Woyke.
We will inform you in our newsletter as soon as tickets are available.
