Hamburg is known for its large and diverse foundation landscape – it is the federal state with the most foundations in relation to its population. On February 5th 2025, THE NEW INSTITUTE hosted a get-together where numerous representatives of Hamburg's foundations discussed sustainability, democracy, social justice, cultural funding, and how momentum for effective foundation work can be created.

The evening was initiated by Bürgerstiftung Hamburg and accompanied musically by the duo Goran Stevanovich & Philipp.
