Dennis holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Kiel (Germany) and a Master degree in Economics from Maastricht University (Netherlands). He previously headed the Global Challenges Centre at the Kiel Institute for the World Economy. His academic work focused on the changing organization of work, sustainability in global value chains, and the G20. He has done consulting projects for e.g. the German Ministry of Finance or the OECD. Dennis also heads the Program Team at the Berlin-based Global Solutions Initiative.
