Before joining THE NEW INSTITUTE, Mark was involved in various artistic collectives formally and informally in Kuala Lumpur with participation including The WKND, OBSCURA Festival and Sekolah Main Wayang. Now studying at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste (HFBK) here in Hamburg, his own artistic practice is largely tied to the act of collecting while also incorporating his efforts to working together with other artists for their individual pursuits.

At THE NEW INSTITUTE, Mark is part of the media team, where he works with various print and digital media formats as well as the art collection that is on permanent loan at the premises of the Warburg Ensemble.
