BIO

Netaya Anbar is an award-winning filmmaker with numerous films to her credit, fiction and documentary. She teaches film editing at New York University Graduate School of Journalism. Netaya was born in Montreal, grew up in California, Mexico and Israel. She studied Fine Arts at The Art Institute of Chicago and did a Masters degree in Filmmaking at The London International Film School. In 1992 Netaya and partner Shimon Dotan founded Cinequest Films in Montreal, Canada. Under Cinequest Films Netaya produced and edited multiple feature films. In 1995 she moved to New York City where she continues her work as a filmmaker.

At THE NEW INSTITUTE Netaya was involved in the program "The Human Condition in the 21st Century".
