Black Feminism & the Polycrisis: Movie Screening and Talk at MARKK
MARKK hosts a screening of the movie ”Black Feminism & the Polycrisis", made by our eponymous research program.
What is the polycrisis? How can we use the insights of Black Feminism to create new visions of society?
On May 30, 2024, the Museum am Rothenbaum Kulturen und Künste der Welt (MARKK) in Hamburg will host a special evening to premiere the thought-provoking short film "Black Feminism & The Polycrisis" made by fellows of THE NEW INSTITUTE. The event will feature a screening of the film, which addresses the interconnected crises of our world through the lens of Black feminist thought.
The screening will be followed by a panel discussion with creative director and writer Minna Salami, contributors Abosede Ipadeola, Akwugo Emejelu, Maha Marouan, and directors Mac Premo and Adrianna Dufay, all of whom are fellows or alumni of THE NEW INSTITUTE.
